Over the years, countless numbers of people have paused in their journey along this road to gaze up in wonder at this mountain near Sedona, Arizona. Very few have stood on its summit.
In Revelation 14:1-5 we read of a very privileged gathering of 144,000 on Mount Zion, with Jesus in their midst. This gathering represents a very small number compared with the multitudes referred to in Revelation 7:9-10. How did this select company reach the summit of Mount Zion? By what route did they journey? What source of power enabled them to climb to such heights?
I trust that the Lord by His Spirit may reveal to me and to many who shall visit this site how we may attain to this glorious goal; not for any glory for those who devote themselves to its challenge, but for His glory alone.
"But when He, the Spirit of truth , comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you." John 16:13-14. Concerning 'the Spirit of Truth' Jesus assures us that 'whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come'. Many sense that the promised return of Jesus is fast approaching; that the dark days preceding His return are almost upon us. How important it is to know from the Spirit of God what lies ahead that we may get prepared and encourage others to do likewise.
"But when He, the Spirit of truth , comes, He will guide you into all the truth." Surely these words of Jesus offer a promise that should be pursued with God-given dedication and perseverance, at whatever cost, by those who choose to become His disciples.
I do not know when exactly the Lord laid His hand upon me and bestowed on me a deep hunger to know the truth. I just know it is resident within me, together with a deep God-given love for the Lord Jesus.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you , whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
